William E. DeBolt, 75, of Tulip Ln, Martins Ferry, OH died Mon., Feb. 21, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. He was born Oct. 5, 1929 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Joseph and Shirley (McCann) DeBolt. He was retired from Wheeling Jesuit University, Wheeling, WV and a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bridgeport, Past Master of Ohio City Lodge #486 F.& A.M. in 1987, Royal Arch Masons #173 both of Martins Ferry, American Legion, Delaware, OH, Abadan Grotto where he was a clown, an avid Ham Radio operator and a veteran of U.S. Army Korea. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Joseph DeBolt, Jr. Surviving are his wife Goldie A. (Brandtner) DeBolt, two daughters Nan DeBolt of Shadyside and Lynnie Angus and her husband Danny of Bellaire and a sister JoAnne Lowe of MO. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH Wed. 2-4 & 6-8 PM and Thurs. 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM where Rev. Calvin Sigmon will officiate. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH. Masonic Ritualistic Services will be held Wed. at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
