Obituary

William S. "Red" Doleski 94, of Lansing died Tuesday November 20, 2012 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Martins Ferry. He was born May 31, 1918 in Wheeling, a son of the late Anthony and Mary (Salata) Doleski. He was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Beech Bottom Plant, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst, a Navy Veteran of WW II, and a life member of Colerain VFW Post 8848. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Anna R. (Matis) Doleski, a daughter Deborah A. Allen, and brothers Sergeant Stanley, Bruno, and Victor Doleski, sisters Virginia Ignac, Violet Fanning, and Mary Timko. Surviving are a son William Lee (Carol) Doleski of Sicklerville, New Jersey, two grandchildren Erica, and Trevor Allen, son-in-law Douglas Allen. Friends are invited to a celebration of Red's life on Friday November 30, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Saturday December 1, 2012 at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst, with Fr, John Mucha and Fr. Dale Tornes officiating, entombment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund, P.O. Box 97089 Washington, D.C. 20090. Wake services will be recited on Friday at 2:30 pm at the Funeral Home. Full Military Services will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 9:15 am.
