William H. Ellis, Jr. William H. Ellis, Jr. 63, of Martins Ferry, OH died Mon. Mar. 10, 2003 at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville, OH. He was born Aug. 23, 1939 in Wheeling, WV a son of Elanor M. Reigle Ellis and the late William H. Ellis, Sr. He was retired from the Martins Ferry Police Department, a former Scout Leader and Explorer Advisor, a member of the F.O.P. Lodge # 78, and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Surviving in addition to his mother of Powell, OH are his wife Carol J. Tressler Ellis, a daughter Paula McIntire of Wheeling, a sister Patricia Fisher and her husband Richard of Powell, OH, and two grandsons Job and Isaac McIntire. Friends will be received Wed. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thurs., Mar. 13, 2003 at 1:00 PM with Edwin Raper officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry with full military graveside honors by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W.
