William "Buzz" Gene Faunda, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, OH died November 30th, 2017 at his home. He was born December 6, 1935 in Dillonvale, OH, a son of the late Mike and Mary (Kelly) Faunda. He was retired from the Consolidated Coal Company, was a long-time owner of the Faunda family farm, was Russian Orthodox by faith, a U.S. Army Veteran, member of the Gwyn Allen American Legion Post #735, the Indian Club in Tiltonsville, and the Sportsman Club in Piney Fork. William is survived by his wife, Jane (Pittman) Faunda; children, Stacy (George A.) Helt of Sugar Grove, OH, Aaron Hickenbottom of Pittsburgh, PA, Christy (Brandon E.) Staats of Tiltonsville, OH; grandchildren, Keith Jones III, Nicholas Helt, Natalie Helt, Briana Staats; brother, James Faunda of Clarington, OH; sister, Kathleen Ziegler of Powell, OH; and many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends and neighbors. Friends will be received Sunday, December 3, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale, OH 43917 where funeral services will be held Monday, December 4th at 1pm with Father Michael Kabel officiating. Interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Military services at the cemetery will be conducted by the Gwyn Allen American Legion Post #735.
