William R. Fischer, 65, of Belmont, Ohio, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Belmont Manor. He was born August 17, 1948 in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of the late William N. Fischer and Regina A. Kane Fischer. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, dad, and grandpa. He was a member of the Bridgeport Mason Lodge #181 and The National Rifle Association. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Bill is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandy L. Fischer of Belmont, Ohio; daughters, Mandi L. (Frank) Sweeny of Wilmington, Delaware and Ashleigh R. Fischer of Merrillville, Indiana; grandchildren, Auriana, Hayley, Gaibryl and Harley. Family and friends may visit, Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio, where the service will be conducted, Saturday 2 p.m. Pastor Herb Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio. Belmont County Veterans Association will conduct Military Honors 6 p.m., followed by a Masonic Service 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
