Obituary

William L. Fithen, 78, formerly of Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, OH died Thur., Apr. 28, 2005 at Woodland Acres Nursing Home, St. Clairsville, OH. He was born Jan. 29,1927 in Green Twp., OH a son of the late William and Mildred (Mazeroski) Fithen. He was retired from the AEP Kammer-Mitchell Power Plant, and a member of the Essex Bay Boat Club, Piedmont, OH, Eagles Aerie #456, American Legion Post #38, a honorary member of Alert Engine Company all of Martins Ferry, and a veteran of U. S. Army, WW II. Surviving are his wife Lucille (Stine) Pollock Fithen of Martins Ferry, a son Chuck (Rose) Fithen of Georgetown, three step sons Paul Pollock of Pleasant Grove, Ralph (Kathy) Pollock of Findlay and Jim (Cindi) Pollock of Martins Ferry, four step daughters Marge (Butch) Barker of Ashford, WV, Maxine McClure of Martins Ferry, Maureen (Beau Hawk) Pollock of Bonita Springs, Fl, and Marsha (Tim) Bain of Adena, OH, a sister Shirley Mackey of Martins Ferry, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Friends will be received Mon. May 2, 2005 from 4:00 PM till time of memorial service at 6:00 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where Rev. Rod Kasler will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alert Engine Company, 201 N. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
