William Jay Green, 81, of St. Clairsville, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, in Select Specialty Hospital. He was born on June 17, 1942, in Martins Ferry. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era, retiring after 20 years as a Master Sargent. He retired after 20 years with the United States Postal Service, was a member of the Thoburn United Methodist Church, St. Clairsville and the St. Clairsville American Legion, Post 159. He enjoyed traveling, football and Nascar.

Bill is survived by a nephew, Doug Ryan and a niece, Kari Ryan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, June (Murrin) Green.

In keeping with Bill's wishes all services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Inurnment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.
