Harris, William "Bill" Sr., 82, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Thursday March 11, 2010, at Sunset Health Care, Adena. He was born in Herrick, Ohio on July 27, 1927, a son of the late John A. and Carrie Polen Harris. Bill was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, who truly loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson. He was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, a member of Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post #529; a retired employee of Consol Coal Co., and a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence Harris and a sister, Mary Bazar. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elenora Ceculski Harris; a daughter Patricia Brown and her husband Stephen; two sons: Richard Harris and his wife Jane all of Mt. Pleasant; and William Harris Jr. and his wife Cindy of Piney Fork; two brothers: Raymond Harris and his wife Blanche of St. Louis, MO., and Donald Harris and his wife Judy of Wintersville; four grandchildren: Brian (Heather), Alicia, Emily and Kip; step-grandchildren, Ashley and Nicholas; a great-grandson Aiden and step-great-grandchildren Logan and Bennet. Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio where vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday March 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Dillonvale, with Monsignor John Kolesar, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio with graveside military honors provided by Dillonvale American Legion McCook Post #529.
