William J. Hill, 76, of S. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, Mar. 23, 2011 at Belmont Manor Nursing Home, St. Clairsville, OH. He was born Apr. 27, 1934 in Colerain, OH a son of the late William W. And Mary (Stopera) Hill. He was retired from the Yorkville Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. William was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry, Yorkville V.F.W. Post # 4811, and Elks Lodge #895, Martins Ferry. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserves. Surviving are his wife Patricia A. (Magurie) Hill, a daughter Pamela Sue Peters of Eagle Mountain, UT, a son William G. Hill of Martins Ferry, a brother Walter (June) Hill of Fl, two grandchildren Nicole Jo Hatch, and Jentry Peters both of UT, and two great grandchildren Hanna, and Ady Jo. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tuesday, Mar. 29, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Philip K. Van Dam officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the House of the Carpenter, 200 S.
