William D. Ledger, 73, of St. Clairsville, OH, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born May 19, 1943 in Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late Clarence C. and Carmella A. (DeVecchis) Ledger.

Bill retired from Carpenter's Local #186 and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Roseneau.

Surviving are his children; Dana (Chip) Matthews of Centerville, VA, David Ledger of Manassas, VA, Timothy Ledger and Melissa Spriggens

both of St. Clairsville and James Ledger of Bridgeport, OH, brothers; Tom (Dorothy) Ledger of Greenup, KY, Jeep Ledger of Bridgeport, OH, James (Katherine) Ledger of Dallas, TX and John (Debra) Ledger of New Athens, OH, his sister, June McCombs of Kings Mountain, NC, twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received Monday, May 8, 2017, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where private funeral services will be held with Pastor Ron Williams officiating. Burial follows with Military Honors by the Belmont County Veteran's Assoc. at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
