William Lee Brown, 79, of Rayland, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, in East Ohio Regional Hospital.  He was born on September 8, 1943, in Martins Ferry a son of the late William and Rosa (Botts) Brown.  William served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Boring) Brown; children, Brenda (Ken) Frick, William Brown, Angie Brown, Rosa Brown, and Amy (Mickey) Thorpe; a sister, Shirley Coyne; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Brown; and two sisters, Florence Huntsman, and Nancy Griffith.

Friends may call Friday from 11 am -1 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main St., Tiltonsville.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 pm in the funeral home with Reverend James Hoff officiating.  Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.
