Obituary

WILLIAM "Bill" MURRAY, 84, of Dillonvale, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling. Bill retired as an engineer from Norfolk & Southern Railroad, formerly known as the Nickel Plate Railroad, and was a member of the Locomotive Engineers Club. He was a lifelong member of the Dillonvale United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during WWII and was a member of the Dillonvale American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother James Murray. Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years Ruth (Smith) Murray; and a son George Murray and his wife Jeanne Ann of Toronto, OH. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale, Ohio, where services will be held Saturday at 11 am with full military honors conducted by the Dillonvale American Legion.
