William V. Rethy 72 of Martins Ferry died Friday September 7, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born April 25, 1940 in Barton, a son of the late William and Helen E. (Vargo) Rethy. He was a retired Purchasing Agent for the former Scott Lumber Co. in Bridgeport, and a custodian for the Law Firm of Hartley and O'Brien Wheeling; and the Mull Center Wheeling; he also was an Army Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Myra Louise (Thomas) Rethy, a brother Raymond Rethy. Bill is survived by a daughter Stephanie McNeal and her husband Ken of Bridgeport, a sister Helen Parks and her husband Elmer of Lebanon Indiana, a brother Bob Rethy and his wife Norma of Fort Wayne Indiana, and four grandchildren Kyle, Ken, Kelci, and Kayti. Friends are invited to pay tribute to Bill's life on Monday September 10, 2012 from 4-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am with Rev. James Hoff officiating, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove.
