William "Bill" Rinkes, 70, of Catawba St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sun., Oct. 23, 2005 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born Sept. 19, 1935 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Albert K. and Evelyn A. (Dayton) Rinkes. Bill retired as a Technical Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force after 20 years service. He was a member of American Legion Post #38, Martins Ferry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Chester, George, and Kenneth "Bud" Rinkes. Surviving are three daughters Laura Lee (Jason) Boroski of Mt. Pleasant, OH, and Cheryl D. Gordon and Karen L. Stewart both of Houston, TX, two brothers Thomas (Betsy) Rinkes and Charles Rinkes both of Martins Ferry, three sisters Judy Carley of Bridgeport, OH, Violet (Kenneth) Blinco of Lorain, OH, and Sylvia Wayt of Rayland, five grandchildren Travis Starr III, Kyle Starr, Ethan Emery William Boroski, Kristin & Krystle Clark, and a great grandchild Konnor Presley Clark. Friends will be received Wed., Oct. 26, 2005 from 5-7 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Military services will be held Wed. at 7 PM in the funeral home by the Belmont Co. Council of the American Legion.
