William Robert "Bob" Davis Jr., 78, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed Wednesday April 15, 2015 at home. He was born in Wheeling, W.Va., on September 22, 1936, a son of the late William Robert "Sonny" Davis and Mary Mildred McKeen Davis. Bob was a retired employee of the Kroger Company; Thursday Morning Coffee Club; award winning golfer; Ham Radio operator and a former member of the U.S. Army Reserves. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Joseph James "Jay" Gorza. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Nancy Agnes Gorza Davis; a son: Robert "Robbie" Davis of Wilmington, NC.; daughters: Debbie (Joseph) Cotman of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, Cindy (John) McGreevy of Springfield, VA., Tammy (Dan) Davis of Hilliard, Ohio, Missy Snider of Hilliard, Ohio; Sister-in-law Barbara (Richards) Gorza and their children Vicki (Nolte), Tom, Joe, and Ed Gorza; grandchildren: Steven (Vanessa), Matthew, and Jennifer Cotman, John (Jack) and Robert (Bobby) McGreevy, Annie Davis, Jessica and Rachael Davis, Brandon and Emma Snider. Friends will be received Friday 5-9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday April 18, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wolfhurst, with Rev. Timothy S. Shannon as celebrant.
