William R. Wiggins William R. "Silly Willy" Wiggins, 71, of Woodcroft Dr., St. Clairsville OH died Thurs., Apr. 1, 2004 at Oakland VA Pittsburgh Health Care Center, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born Mar. 10, 1933 in Colerain a son of the late William O. and Alice V. Rucker Wiggins. He was a well known local country/western and gospel musician. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Martins Ferry; American Federation of Musicians; Bellaire D.A.V. Chapter #113; American Legion Post of Adena; and the Elm Grove and Wheeling Eagles. He was also a proud disabled U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife Sandra L. (Baker) Wiggins, a daughter Kathy Jo (Lee) Green of Independence, KS, a brother Nelson Wiggins of Houston TX, two sisters Lila Reynard of Richmond, MI and Julia Benedetti of Mt. Pleasant, OH, and a grandson Robby William Fish. Friends will be received Fri. 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Sat., Apr. 3, 2004 at 10:30 AM with Minister Rod Kasler officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH with full military graveside honors by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W. Memorial contributions may be made to The Family House McKee, 233 McKee Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
