William T. Smith, Jr., 66, of Martins Ferry, OH died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born October 23, 1949 in Martins Ferry a son of the late William T. Smith, Sr. and Ruby E. (Jones) Smith. He was retired from the Coke Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Steubenville Plant. William was a member of the V.F.W. #4811, Yorkville, OH and also a veteran of the U.S. Army, Vietnam Era. Surviving are his wife Emma M. (Kirr) Smith, children; Rebecca Jo (Chris) Ferrell of Jeromesville, OH, Jeffrey Smith of Martins Ferry and Jennifer (Jerry Kelly) Smith of Bridgeport, OH., sisters; Eva Ann (Kenneth) Hinzey, Karen Sue (Orville) Green and Brenda J. McElwain all of Martins Ferry and five grandchildren; Benjamin Ferrell, Julia Ferrell, Kaleb Smith, Keagan Kelly and Lily Kelly A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
