Obituary

William J. Strickler, 68, of St. Clairsville, OH, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, OH. He was born July 14, 1948 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Richard H. and Catherine L. (Bianconi) Strickler.
He was retired from Kroger and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen A. Tamborski.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia J. (Frazier) Withers Strickler, step-son, Robert A. (Janice) Withers, Jr. of Leesburg, VA and step-grandchildren, Brian and Lauren Withers.
Friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. where services will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Stammerjohn officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Deacons of the church will hold services Thursday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
