William "Russ" Walker, 78, of Florence, Martins Ferry, OH died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. He was born May 13, 1931 in Bridgeport, OH a son of the late Arthur E. and Dorothy (Helt) Walker. Russ retired from the National Cash Register Co. of Dayton, OH and was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God, Martins Ferry. Surviving are a sister Marjorie Patterson of Florence and a brother Daniel (Karen) Walker of Wheeling, WV. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH, Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 from 10 am until time of services at 1:00 pm with Pastor Roland Boggs officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetic Association.
