Obituary

Wilma M. Thompson passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018, at her home in Belmont, Ohio.  She was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Davies) Schafer, born May 1, 1926, south of Bethesda, Ohio. Preceding her in death were her parents; infant son, Larry Paul Hunt; brothers, Warren and Jack Schafer; sister, Margaret Perkins; and husbands, Warren Hunt and Carroll Gregg. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Bethesda Senior Citizens, and American Legion Auxiliary Unit #90. Wilma was an employee of Wellers Variety Store in Bethesda for many years and later at Averils Store in Belmont. She is survived by her husband, Gene Thompson of Belmont, Ohio; brother, Paul Schafer of Bethesda, Ohio; daughters, Beverly (Gary) Ault of Fresno, Ohio, Robin (Ron) Duvall of Bethesda, Ohio; grandchildren, Kevin (Starr) Duvall, Adam (Renee) Duvall, Jason (Rachel) Ault, and Angie (Jesse) Smoulder; great-grandchildren, Keegan, Gavin, and Gabriella Duvall, Jadon, Noah, and Elijah Smoulder, and Lucas Ault.  Step-children, Cathy (Lee) Wickens, John (Marsha) Thompson, Cindy (Rick) Hillyer; step-grandchildren, Audrey (P.C.) Clark, Chris (Katina) Emory, David (Tara) Thompson, Michelle (Cory) McQuain, and Clint and Jodi Hillyer; step-great-grandchildren, Mackenna and Morganne Emory, Mason and Brycen McQuain, Evan Thompson, and Kolten Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to visit, Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m., until the time of service, beginning at 11 a.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio.  Reverend Tom Detling officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio. The family would like to send a special heartfelt thank you to Amedisys Hospice Care for the attentiveness given to Wilma, as well as their support to her family. Interment

Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
