Alice May Linde, 78 of Martins Ferry passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.  She was born November 18, 1945, in Wheeling, WV the daughter of the late Rita (Beazel) Piosek. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Allan Linde and sister, Toni Townsend. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children, William, Robert, Janice, Ricky Linde, and Barbara Archer; grandchildren, William Milan III, Devin Ryan, Jake Green and Jennifer Setchell, as well as several cousins and dear friends. 

Alice was a very unique individual, who early on, supported herself and six children as an interior designer, and later on, as an OTR truck driver.  One of her passions was supporting veterans and served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the former VFW POST 3613.

After her retirement, her passion became gardening and harvesting her own blueberries, strawberries, and various vegetables.  All of which she would gladly share with family and friends.

She loved spending time with family and friends.  Alice was a very giving and private person.  She would help anyone in need at the drop of a hat without any expectation in return. Anyone who knew her grew to love her.

Alice will always be remembered by family and friends with love and the utmost compassion for her fellow human beings.
