Barbara S. Shepherd

Barbara S. Shepherd, 80, of Morristown, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, following a brief illness. 

She was born on February 28, 1945, in Wheeling, WV to the late Joseph H. and Virginia (Taylor) Shepherd.  Barbara was a member of the Morristown Methodist Church, and a graduate of Union Local High School.  “Barb” was a loving sister, adoring aunt, and friend to many.  She was adventurous and independent, and her memory will live on in the stories she told.  Barb will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nine siblings, two brothers, Kirk (Ida Mae) Shepherd, Joseph N. Shepherd, seven sisters, Mary Eunice (Louis) Taylor, Ruth (Gordon) Wirth, Ethel (Chet) Brainard, Joann (Abe) Abrams, Peggy (Robert) Phillips, Belva DeBolt, Betty (Don) Whitacre, and brother-in-law Pete Peterson. 

She is survived by her sister-in-law Sallie Shepherd, brother-in-law, Charles DeBolt, several nieces and nephews and her lifelong best friends Nina Pyle and Judy Willis.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 11 till the time of service at 1pm, at the Wilson Funeral Home, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio.  Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Morristown, Ohio.
