Bernard “Benny” Louis Salem Jr., 53, of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born on June 3, 1972, in Wheeling a son of Deborah (Snider) Salem and the late Bernard L. Salem Sr. Benny was a manager at Carmella’s Plates and Pints Restaurant, Pittsburgh, loved his RC Car, Flash Light and watch collections, Cigars and singing, enjoyed writing patents, being an inventor, dirt bikes, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Benny had the kindest heart, a genuine smile, and always left you laughing.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah (Snider) Salem; a daughter, Emmi Salem; two sisters, Carmella, and Tina Salem; his big brother, Mike Alberter; and his four dogs, Isabella, Sebastion, Teddy, and Pugzie.
Friends may call Monday, March 30, from 1-4 and 6-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral services will be held Monday at 4 pm in the Funeral Home, with Reverend David Demarest officiating.
