Betty Marie (Douglass) Barylak

Betty Marie Barylak, 90, of Belmont, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025 at Emerald Pointe in Barnesville.  She was born on February 26, 1935 in Flushing, Ohio to the late Delbert and Glenna (Gilbert) Douglass.

Betty retired from Kroger.  She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville, Ohio.  Betty was beautiful inside and out.  She lived in Michigan for most of her life and was an active member in her community.  She loved adventure and the outdoors.  She enjoyed fishing and hunting with her husband and even got a bear herself in Canada.  She loved traveling with her friend to many places like California, Hawaii, and Ireland.  She was the favorite Aunt and will be missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond John Barylak; infant brother, Albert Douglass; and sister Evelyn Grimes.

Left to cherish her memory are a brother, Dennis (Bobbie) Douglass; plus many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

All services are private.  Inurnment will be in the Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville, Ohio.  Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio 43719 is assisting the family.
