Betty Lou (Robbins) Giancola, 90 of Martins Ferry passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at the Rolling Hills Nursing Care Center in Bridgeport. She was born October 14, 1934, in Benwood, WV, the daughter of the late George Robbins and Wilma T. (Griffiths) Robbins- Briggs.
She retired from East Ohio Regional Hospital as a home-health aide. Betty belonged to the First Christian Church of Bellaire, member of the American Legion Post 38 of Martins Ferry and the V.F.W. Post 4811 of Yorkville, and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred A. Giancola in 2016
Left to Cherish her memory are her children, Alfred A. Giancola, III of Las Vegas, NE, Frances Dolin (Dean Ault) of Martins Ferry, Barbara Giancola of Canton, brother, William L. (Jan) Robbins, Sr. of AL, Ellen J. Robbins of St. Clairsville, grandchildren, Rudy and Tina Litwin, Diana Nelson and Becky and Thomas Aventino, great-grandchildren, Austin, Alex, Abigail, Christopher, Nate, Kaylena, Mo and Luciano.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH., with Military Honors at 6pm by the Belmont County Veterans Association. Funeral Service will be Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11am at the Heslop Chapel, with Rev. James Hoff officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
