Betty Lou (Treylinek) Preslin

Betty Lou (Treylinek) Preslin, 89 of St. Clairsville, formerly of Martins Ferry passed away peacefully Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Belmont Manor, surrounded by her family. She was born May 26, 1935, in Martins Ferry, the daughter of the late, Joseph Treylinek and Susie Palkovich.

Betty was a retired secretary with the former Cook Insurance Company. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Catholic Women’s Club. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose passion in life was being a mother and caring for her family. Her biggest joy was gathering her family together for holidays and celebrations. She is now resting with her Lord and Savior.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son -in-law, Albert Benczo and brother, Robert Treylinek.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Frank P. Preslin of St. Clairsville, children, Sue (Dean) Miller of St. Clairsville, Linda Benczo of St. Clairsville, Diane (Craig) Dolfi of Dillonvale, Michael (Connie) Preslin of Shadyside, and Theresa (James) Kuhn of Adena, 12 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, and her brother Peter Palkovich of FL.   

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 2-6pm at the Wilson Funeral Home - Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 10am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 20 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935 with Fr. Thomas Marut officiating. Burial to take place later at the convenience of the family.
