Bonnie Anderson Obituary

BONNIE MELISSA MALYERCK ANDERSON

Bonnie Melissa Malyerck Anderson is home!!!!!!!   Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!  Heaven received a beautiful, loving soul July 30, 2019.  Bonnie was born May 9, 1953 to loving parents, John Joseph Malyerck and Pearl Agnes Malyerck.  She was brought home and greeted by her older sisters, Mary and Janie.

Bonnie graduated from Union Local High school and then attended Wheeling Hospital, where she graduated as an X-Ray Technician.  She worked at Barnesville Hospital for several years.  Bonnie married John Anderson of Barnesville, but after several years, they separated. Bonnie was a very talented musician, playing the drums, acoustical, electric, and bass guitars.  Her love for music took her many places and allowed her to meet special friends and musicians. Ray Price and his wife, Janie were especially dear to Bonnie.

Bonnie did not have children, but all that love she had, she gave to her dogs.  Each dog Bonnie had was cared for by Claugas Veterinarian Service in Barnesville, which later was renamed, Barnesville Veterinarian Service.  Her dogs, Groucho, Andy, Ace, Blackers, and Pepper, were her family and companions and have all preceded her in death. Bonnie has cared for many unwanted, abused, and stray dogs.  She always made sure her dogs were fed and cared for, even before herself.  Bonnie had a loving and giving heart for others and a personality that was quiet and sentimental.  Whatever she had, she would willingly share or give to any one in need.

Bonnie leaves behind her sisters and their husbands; Mary and Butch Owens, Janie and Tom Emory; nieces; Julie and husband Jim, Corrianne and husband Joey,  Alexis and husband Jason, Joni Beth, and Roxanne; nephews, Johnny and wife Kim,  Tyler, Brad and wife Chevy, and Jason; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her niece, Velvett.

Bonnie had many nurses, aids, caseworkers, and doctors, all of whom gave her the best care and always letting her know she was loved.  Dr. Steven Stienburg, and Dr. Muriam Pharmier, both of  OSU Hospital in Columbus, were very special to her for many years; as well as,  Dr. Lee-Wood from Barnesville, and special aid and friend, Barb Bartrug.   Prior to her last illness, Bonnie was also lovingly cared for, by the staff from Walton Home in Barnesville, where she had resided.

Bonnie went home to be with the Lord, as Pastor Cheryl Norris held her hand and her sisters surrounded her. She was in the care of the doctors, nurses and staff from Acuity Specialty Hospital in Bellaire.  There, Bonnie was given the finest care and considerations, with the highest level of professionalism. Her dignity was upheld at all times.  Bonnie was a member of Bethesda Church of the Nazarene, led by Pastor Cheryl Norris and her husband, Pastor Guy Norris.

Bonnie’s family will receive guests, Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of the Memorial Service beginning at 10:30 am,  as Bonnie’s homecoming to Heaven will be celebrated.  Pastors Guy and Cheryl Norris will officiate.  Dinner and fellowship will follow in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Belmont County Animal Shelter in memory of Bonnie.
