Brenda Kathryn Showalter

Brenda Kathryn Showalter, beloved wife, Mom, and Gram, passed away on March 9th, 2025. She was born February 13, 1949, to the late Roscoe and Helen Tomer.

Brenda’s life was filled with wonderful memories and laughs for her family to remember her by; A daughter, Robyn Showalter of Piedmont; sons, Larry (Jill) Showalter of Bethesda, Augie Bartolo of Piedmont, Scott Showalter (Rita) of Salesville, and Ryan “Boo” (Jami) Showalter of Piedmont; grandchildren, Amber, Kimberly, Larry Jr., Joey, Kristen, Josh, and Jake; sister, Linda Hogan; 8 great grandchildren; numerous brother and sister in-laws; many nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends she considered family, including her fur boy Ruger.

Preceding Brenda in death was her Husband, Bob “Lead Foot”; infant son, Robert Paul Showalter; infant granddaughter, Lauren Paige Showalter; brothers, George Tomer, Paul Tomer, Tommy Tomer; Brother- in-laws, Joe “PeeWee” Showalter and Bob Hogan; Sister-in-laws, Sally Francis and Cindy Showalter; and Niece, Julie Hogan.

Brenda loved spending time with the loves of her life, her husband and her children. She gave unconditional love to all that were close to her. She was known for her ornery sense of humor and kind giving heart. She was a proud homemaker and mother, who took time to enjoy the little things. Brenda loved things like, dirty bingo, days at the lake on the pontoon, scratch offs, camping, being a part of the Flushing Legion and mowing on her Kubota.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Thursday, March 13th, 2025, from 12:00 to 3:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm.

Visitation will occur again Friday, March 14th, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 am. Services will be held at 11:00 with burial to follow at Sewellsville Cemetery in Sewellsville Ohio.
