Carl A. “Tony” Means Sr. 80 of Wheeling went to be with our Lord on Friday May 10, 2019. He was born August 8, 1938 in Wheeling, a son of the late Carl “Tubby” and Lucile (Calvert) Means.

  He was a retired employee of the former Ormet Corporation, a member of the First United Methodist Church Bellaire, a veteran in the US Marine Corp. He was a member of the Ohio Lodge #1 Wheeling F&AM, the Order of Eastern Star Mariam #1 Wheeling, and Weyer #515 Centerville, OH, also a life member of the DAV Bellaire.

  In addition tom his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

  Tony is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Alice (Burk) Means, children Carl A. “Tony” Means Jr. of Bellaire, Kimberly (Dan) McCulley of Wheeling, Terri (Bill) Littleton of Bellaire, Christine “Chris” (Toby) Hageman of Newark, OH, and Mary Kay Davis of Wernersville, PA, many grand and great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews.

  Friends will be received at the First United Methodist Church 3402 Guernsey St. Bellaire on Tuesday May 14, from 11 am till time of service at 4 pm, with Pastors Phil Bliss and Ian Thornton officiating, interment in Parkview Cemetery Wheeling. Order of Eastern Star Services will be conducted at 3:30 pm on Tuesday. Full Military Graveside services will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be mad to the First United Methodist Church 3402 Guernsey St. Bellaire 43906. Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside in charge of service.
