TOGETHER AGAIN:
Charles W. “Bud” Coulson Sr. 92, of Bridgeport passed away Thursday June 11, 2020 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born July 26, 1927 in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Martin V. and Ella May (Welsh) Coulson.
Bud was a retired truck driver for the former Warwood Transfer Co., a Catholic by faith, a veteran of the US Air Force in WW II, a member of the Bridgeport Blue Lodge #181, the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of Steubenville, the Scottish Rite of Steubenville, and the Osiris Shrine of Wheeling, and the Legion of Honor. Bud also was a lifelong member of the Eagles, Lansing Sportsman Club, and the Bridgeport Foresters.
In addition to his parents Bud was preceded in death by his loving wife JoAnn (DeVecchis) Coulson of 61 years in 2016, his children Charles W. “Peanuts” Coulson Jr. John Coulson, Pam Phillips, and John Davis, two sisters Stella Patterson, and Ann Weaver.
Bud is survived by his children William “Bill” (Tracy) Coulson of Bridgeport, Judy (Mike) Clark of St. Clairsville, Charlotte (Mark) Fuchs of Rayland, Patricia Leader and Linda Moore both of FL, Sue Tarter of Bridgeport and Nancy Johnson of Charleston WV, 13 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Tuesday June 16, 2020 from 12 noon till time of service at 1 pm with Fr. John Mucha officiating, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Full Military graveside will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice 10686 St. Rt.150 Rayland, Ohio 43943.
