Charles Edward Volpert, 82, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, in East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born on November 21, 1939, in Little Rock, AR a son of the late Clement and Catherine (Hambuchen) Volpert Sr. He was Christian by faith, served his country in the United States Air Force, and was a graduate of the University of Little Rock. Charlie was a Certified Public Accountant, he was also the former CFO and part owner of Conecticut Steel Corp. from 1984 to 2006 and a member of the Eagles, American Legion, and the Yorkville VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Bainbridge) Volpert; sons, Matthew, and Christopher Volpert; brothers Clement Volpert Jr and John Volpert; a sister, Mary Long; stepchildren, Barbara Lee, and Jacqueline Waller; grandsons, Tyler, Evan, Joshua, and Alexander Volpert; granddaughter Victoria Rose Volpert; step grandson, Sean Lee and a step great granddaughter, Scarlett Lee; and two self-claimed daughters, Raquel Wright, and Melinda Nord; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Evangeline S. Volpert; a brother, Paul Volpert and a sister, Rose Ann Volpert.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale.
