Cody Matthew Griffith

Cody Matthew Griffith 21 years old of Adena, Ohio, beloved son of Chuck and Tracy Griffith passed unexpectedly doing what he loved Friday, June 25, 2021. 

Cody was born January 20, 2000, at Wheeling Hospital Wheeling, WV.  He was a graduate of BLHS.  He was employed at Mountain State Carbon Follansbee, WV shortly after graduating High School. 

Cody was preceded in death by grandparents Ralph Griffith, Betty Uscio, Mabel Griffith, and Special Pap Joseph Mason. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother and best friend CJ and sister-in-law Kacie Griffith of Adena Ohio and Mema Peggy Mason of Dillonvale Ohio.  Best friend and Love of his life Carlye Sempirek.  Honorary brother and cousin Mason Patterson.  Honorary sister and cousin Taylor, Alec, Rosie Dombroski.  Honorary brother and cousin Aaron, Natalie, Dominic Crawford. Aunts and Uncles Kelli and Kenny Patterson.  Melissa and John Crawford and countless friends and co-workers. 

Cody was loved and respected by everyone who met him.  He was kind, generous, hardworking, respectful, and caring.  If you knew him and spent time with him, you loved him.  He was the baby of his very tight knit family.  In 21 years of life, he embodied everything, and so much more than his parents ever wished for in their second son. 

Cody will be missed beyond measure by everyone who was blessed by knowing him.  His family finds deep comfort that he is in the loving arms of his adoring grandparents.

Private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second Street Dillonvale, Ohio assisting the family.
