Cora Lee (Bowie) Wilson, 75, of Martins Ferry, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2019 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. She was born on May 6, 1944 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late, Walter L. and Mildred (Williams) Bowie. She was Baptist by faith and was baptized in Jesus’s name by Elder Floyd Pitts when she was 16 years old. Cora was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed gardening and making a beautiful home for her family.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Diane Bowie, Christine Wilson and Cynthia Hilson; 2 sisters, Betty Ray and Dora Board; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Cora was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Clinton Wilson Jr. in 2009; a brother, Fred L. Bowie and her grandmother, Cora Hargrove.
Friends may call Friday from 11 am to 1 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 pm in the funeral home with Elder Matthew Quiver officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
