Cynthia Laslo Obituary

Cynthia Ann Laslo, 75 of St. Clairsville formerly of Shadyside passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023, surrounded by her family.  She was born October 2, 1947, the only child of the late Lawrence D. and Matilda (Green) Kruslyak. 

Cindy was a graduate of Ohio University receiving her BA in education. She retired from teaching in several area school systems; she also worked as a salesclerk at Ponzani Florist in St. Clairsville. She was Presbyterian by faith.  Cindy loved being with and caring for her family, she loved cooking, and entertaining and taking care of the family and friends she loved so much.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Daniel W. Laslo, Jr., in 2022, brother-in-law Dave Laslo and in laws, Daniel W. and Margaret (Petrash) Laslo. 

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Christina (Robert Haer) Laslo, son, Daniel W. (Shawna) Laslo, grandchildren, Jillian, Emily, and William, step-grandchildren, Kyle (Amy) and Tasha, step great-grandchild, Elizabeth, brother-in-law, Doug (Mary Ann) Laslo, sister-in-law, Joni Laslo, several nieces and nephews complete the family. 

Cindy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.  She is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior and reunited with the love of her life, her husband Dan.  We know that we will see her again one day. 

All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Wilson Funeral Home-Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry is proudly assisting the family. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to The Ohio State University Ross Heart Hospital Nursing Wellness Fund, 14 East 15th Ave., PO Box 710811, Columbus, OH 43271-0811 in memory of Cindy Laslo.
