Dolores "Dee" Kendel

Dolores “Dee” Kendel, 91, of Clarington, Ohio formerly of Manchester, Ohio died Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Arbors of Woodsfield.  She was born April 1, 1932 in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Paul Anderson and Juanita Smith.

Dee was a Medical Transcriptionist at St. Thomas Hospital and a member of the American Legion Post 768.  She was Catholic by faith.  She was on a bowling league for years.  She enjoyed going to yard sales, camping, and collecting cookbooks.  Her favorite thing of all was cooking.  She was a caregiver to all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Kendel Sr.; a son, Joseph Kendel Jr.; and a brother, Bill Anderson.

Surviving are a daughter, Sherry (Steve) Kemp of Beallsville; two sons, Mark (Debbie) Kendel, and Daniel (Danielle) Kendel, both of Akron; a brother, Stephen Smith of Akron; her beloved dog, Toby; ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren.

All services are private.  Wilson Funeral Home, Harper Chapel, 52728 Ohio Avenue, Beallsville, Ohio 43716 is assisting the family.
