Dorothy Marie (Lawson) Stewart

Dorothy Maria Lawson Stewart, 102, of Flushing, Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Meadow Winds Nursing Home, Massillon, Ohio.

Born June 25, 1923, in Gallia, Ohio, she was the daughter of Naron Monroe Lawson and Bertha Maria Scott Lawson of Dillonvale, Ohio

Dorothy retired from Star Nursing Home in Morristown, Ohio, and was a longtime member of The Flushing Alliance Christian Church. She enjoyed softball, baseball, dancing, train rides, cooking, gardening, and was especially fond of her cars and CB radio.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Tillison Jess Stewart, two sons, Conrad Jess Stewart and Wayne Stewart and daughter Madelyn Burruss and Dorothy's parents, Naron Monroe Lawson and Bertha Maria Scott Lawson and sisters and brothers, Margarette Lawson, William Walter Lawson, Lilly Mae Lawson, Naron Marion Lawson Martin, Jr., Clarence E. Lawson, Donald Lee Lawson, Sylvester Lawson. 

Surviving are her children: Tillison Edward Stewart Jr., and the late Bobbie Shoenfelt, Geraldine and Vernon Johnson, Juanell Torrence, Sharon and Danny Kelley, Donna Alexander, and Randy Stewart, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 11 till time of Funeral Service at 1pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, Ohio 43912.  Burial to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
