Frances Hazel (Rhodes) Conaway

Frances Hazel Conaway, 90 of Shadyside passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, at Shadyside Health Care Center.  She was born October 26, 1933, in West Wheeling, the daughter of the late George and Rebecca (Meeker) Rhodes. 

Frances was a member of the Riverview Bible Church, and was a homemaker, her love for her family was matched only by her love for the Lord.  She will be missed by all who know and love her. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Franklin “Sonny” O. Conaway in 2019, and daughter, Stacy Benda, great-grandson, Keshawn, her brothers, Wilbur, Ellsworth, George, Herman and Robert Rhodes, sisters, Rebecca Morris, Margaret Periglosi, Bernice Kulabonish and Evelyn Walden.  Frances was the youngest and last of the 10 children in her family. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerry (Pat) Conaway of Shadyside, Joyce (Tom) Butler of FL, Michelle Staskey of St. Clairsville, Grandchildren, Katie, Joshua, Breanna, Derrick (Barbara), Michelle, and Shelly, Great-grandchildren, Emma, Allie, Dakota, John, Lamarah, Anayla, Jordyn, Gia, Rocco, and Kalen, and two Great-Great Grandchildren, Benjamin and Larayne. 

Family and friends will be received Thursday, October 24, 2024, 2-4 and 6-8 at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH 43912, where funeral services will be held Friday, October 25, 2024, at 11am with Pastor Zach Rhodes officiating.  Interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
