Gary Lee Bolon, 67, of Colerain, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Enclave at Barnesville. He was born on August 19, 1958, in Wheeling, a son of the late James and Betty (Rueckle) Bolon. Gary was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, retired from the Martins Ferry City School District in the food service department and also a bus driver, prior to that he was employed by Moore’s Lumber and the Colerain IGA, and was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Gary is survived by a brother, Brian (Eleanor) Bolon; a sister, Becky (Mike) Zaney; nephews, Ken (Karly) Bolon, and Charles Zaney; great nephews, Kyle and Keegan Bolon and Warner Zaney; great niece, Adeline Zaney.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a loving partner, Rebecca Losey.
Friends may call Wednesday from 1-4 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 pm in the funeral home, officiated by Chap Holbert. Burial will be held at a later date in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
