GWENDOLYN A. BLANEY
Gwendolyn A. Blaney, 92, formerly of Bethesda, Ohio, passed away March 13, 2019, at her home in Vincent, Ohio. She was born on July 19, 1926 in Malaga, Ohio, daughter of the late Nathaniel and Sarah (Beardmore) Moore.
She was a long standing member of the Myrtle Beach Church of Christ and the Veto Church of Christ in Veto, Ohio. Gwendolyn was a part of the greatest generation and worked for the Army Air Core at Lockbourne Air Force Base in Columbus, Ohio. She enjoyed embroidery and cross stitching, along with quilting.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Durward K. Blaney; grandson, Douglas Blaney; sisters, Geraldine Brown, Margaret Kratz, Violet Wood, and Irene Foutty; and brother, James Moore.
Gwendolyn’s memory will always be cherished by those who survive; children, Becky Blaney Ault, Randal J. (Connie) Blaney, Larry E. Blaney, Mary Blaney (Gary) Manning; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be welcome to visit, Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and Monday, March 18, 2019 from 1:00 pm until the time of service, beginning at 2:00 pm, Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Pastor Dan Plum will officiate. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
