Harry Allen Grimm, 78, of Bridgeport, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Liza’s Place. He was born on April 8, 1942 in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Harry L. and Virginia M. (Phillips) Grimm. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, graduated from Bridgeport High School Class of 1960, worked for Bearings Inc for 28 years. Harry was also a member of the Bridgeport Legion, the Bridgeport School Board of Education, Lansing Sportsman’s, Brookside Volunteer Fire Department, Bridgeport Eagles, 200 Club past President, past President of the Bridgeport Boosters and coached Little League Baseball for many years.
Harry is survived by his wife of 57 years and high school sweetheart, Sandra (Caruth) Grimm; a son, Jeffery (Tonya) Grimm; a daughter, Debra (Chris) Brown; 2 sisters, Beverly Lough and Dorothy Bodemann; 4 grandsons whom he was very proud of, Bryan and Brennon Grimm and Zachary and Carter Brown; 2 “adopted” grandchildren, Kamden and Cooper Dulesky, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William Grimm; a sister, Clara Mae Conway, and close friends, Bill and Dottie Pahl.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Burial will take place in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
