Henry O. “Bud” Gautschi, 90 of Florida formerly of Colerain passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, at Sun City Center House Hospice in Ruskin, FL. He was born April 4, 1934, in Martins Ferry the son of the late Oscar H. and Carrie M. (Flouhouse) Gautschi.
Henry was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Company, Martins Ferry Plant, a member of the Lansing United Methodist Church, Ohio City Lodge #486 F & A.M., and a proud veteran of the United States Army. He loved woodworking, making puzzle pieces, toys, and jewelry boxes to name a few items, he enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, and hunting. Henry was an avid pool player and loved to play his guitar. A man of many talents and interest, but always putting God and family first.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Zettie Gautschi in May 2024, his siblings, Norma Jean Coss and Patricia Jones, Marjorie Macri and Willa Mae Russell.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Pamela (Harry) Graham, Bradley Gautschi, Vicki (Ronald) Sammeth and Sheldon (Melissa) Gautschi, 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren completes the family.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 2pm with the Rev. John Jackson officiating, Military Honors will be presented at 1:30pm at the funeral home, by the Belmont County Veterans Association. Burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
