Irvin Ray Millhouse, Jr. 73 of Barnes Rd, Martins Ferry went to be with the Lord. He was born on September 20, 1948, in Wheeling, WV the son of the late Irvin Ray, Sr. and Kathryn (Chalk) Millhouse.
Irvin was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Martins Ferry Plant as a Barge Loader. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church, American Legion McCook Post, and a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Patty Hartfile-Paisley.
Irvin is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Etta Loraine (Kouvas) Millhouse, and only son Daniel Ray (his companion Adrienne); sister Vickie Ruckman.
He enjoyed many happy years traveling throughout the United States, spending time with in laws, nieces, and nephews, and attending football games with his best friend and brother in mischief, his son Daniel. He never wanted to miss the Army Cadets and Green Bay Packers when televised.
Church and his faith have been a big part of his life attending Riverview Bible Church and then the 1st Baptist Church of Martins Ferry.
His precious dog, Franklin kept him entertained and loved him for many years. He enjoyed rehashing memories of his time at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and the friends he worked with at the Martins Ferry plant. Irvin Ray got a kick out of tormenting his wife but will be missed by her most of all, she was the love of his life.
A memorial celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
