Janie D. (Snyder) Davies

Janie D. (Snyder) Davies, 66 of Martins Ferry, passed away Tuesday evening at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born May 28, 1958, in Martins Ferry, the daughter of the later John W. and Dorothy (Coleman) Snyder. 

She was a faithful member of Grace Presbyterian Church, always working on the many projects that the church was involved with.  She was a homemaker, a beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister, and aunt to her family which was her whole world. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Chad R. Davies, in 2008.  

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, John Davies, daughter, Christy Shreve, grandchildren, Sarah, Natalie and Nate Shreve, brother, John C. Snyder, two special nieces, Tiffany Misenhelder, and Tara Weil, as well as her great-nieces and nephew, Halle, Harper, Colton and Adalynn.    

Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 4-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St. Martins Ferry, OH, 43935.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10am at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Webster officiating, burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
