Frances Jeanne Munn Pyle, 101 of Pleasant Grove passed away October 11, 2021, at her home. She was born on August 12, 1920, in Barton the daughter of the late Joseph and Sadie (Barton) Munn.
Jeanne worked for over 30 years for what is now PNC Bank, and the Peoples Savings Bank in Martins Ferry, Ohio. When hired, she began as a teller and later was promoted to Assistant Manager.
She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Eugene Pyle, brothers, Glenn Munn, sisters Sara Zeyer (Ralph) and Lois Shriver (Albert) and her son in law Nowell Weddle.
She loved family and friends and especially her church in Pleasant Grove. Jeanne was a devout Christian who served in several capacities of the church, from Sunday School teacher to treasurer for many years. She was always ready to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. She devoted 15 years of her retirement to caring for her mother, who lived to be 102 years of age. She always had devotions with her mother before bedtime and could be heard offering a “Good Morning God” prayer before breakfast. Jeanne was an incredibly special person and will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Weddle of Bel Air, MD, granddaughter Deborah Hessler of Joppa MD, great-grandson Joseph (Kari) Kozlowski and great granddaughter Olivia Frances Hessler. Jeanne also leaves behind to cherish her memory loving nieces and nephews, many other relations and good friends, especially her wonderful caregivers who brought so much happiness in her later years.
Friends will be received Friday, October 22, 2021, from 10 am till time of service at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, with the Rev. William Zeyer officiating. Interment will be in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 73599 Pleasant Grove Rd, Dillonvale, Ohio 43917.
