Joan Lynn Gubernot

Joan Lynn Gubernot, 63 of Martins Ferry passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at her residence.  She was born December 16, 1960, in Martins Ferry the daughter of the late John and Adeline (McHenry) Gubernot. 

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Martins Ferry, 1979 graduate of St. John Central High School in Bellaire, she was a former secretary for the City Council of Martins Ferry, worked for the Belmont County Northern Division Court System, and retired as a Phlebotomist for E.O.R.H. Joan was known for her beautiful singing voice. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her life partner and companion Susan A. Kitson in 2014, and her twin brother John Gubernot, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister Dana (Gubernot) Mendoza along with many extended family and friends, nieces and nephews.
