Joan Margarita (Mack) Husarik

Joan M. Husarik, 101, of Bridgeport, OH passed away May 9th, 2020 peacefully at her home.

She was born July 12, 1918 in Pittsburgh, PA, and moved to the Ohio Valley in 1922.  She was a daughter of the late Anthony Mack and Antonia Sandrick Mack.

Joan was married on March 21, 1944.  Joan was a housewife and a mother.  She enjoyed cooking, going shopping, and gardening.  She was awarded her Honorary Graduation Diploma on July 8, 2008 from the Bridgeport Board of Education.  She won numerous cooking awards at local contests.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen J. Husarik in 1964, brother, Andrew Mack and sisters; Mary Fabish, Irene Husarik, and Mildred Mack.

Surviving are town sons; Gary S. Husarik and Marvin (Sharon) Husarik of Bridgeport, OH.  She has five grandchildren; Susan Malone, Stephen Husarik, and Shelley Husarik (Nick Holland) of Alabama, also Danielle Husarik (William Howell), and Lisa Husarik of Bridgeport.  She has four great-grandchildren; Zachery Malone, Nicholas Holland of Alabama, and Abby Howell and Daelyn Husarik of Bridgeport.

A grave service will be held Saturday, May 16th at 11a.m. at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville with Father John Mucha officiating.
