Joan Eileen (Keaton) Menkemeller

Joan Eileen Menkemeller, 92, of Lansing, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Park Health Care Center. She was born on July 8, 1932, in Wheeling, a daughter of the late John Keaton and Zela (Berry) Wright.  Joan was a member of the Lansing United Methodist Church; the United Methodist Women’s Club; she enjoyed cooking; and caring for others; and did day care for over 30 years.

Joan is survived by her son, Samuel (Janis) Menkemeller; a special niece, Cora (Paul) West; and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Barbara Taylor.

Friends may call Tuesday, from 2-4 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 4 pm in the funeral home, with Reverend John Jackson officiating.
