John F. "Jack" Bell

John F. “Jack” Bell, 91 of Bridgeport passed away, Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Forest Hills Nursing Home in St. Clairsville.  He was born on March 9, 1933, in Glouster, OH, the son of the late Edward and Ghila (Brown) Bell. 

John retired from WTRF- TV 7 in Wheeling and the former 3 Gaynor’s Restaurant in Bridgeport.  He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Lion’s Club, and a proud veteran of the United States Navy. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joanne (Boyle) Bell, siblings, Larry Bell, Margaret Bierer, Shelia Brewer, Linda Lee Bell, and son-in-law, Gino Reynolds. 

Left to cherish his memory are his children, John (Catherine) Bell, Margaret “Peggy” Reynolds, Adrienne (Ken) Ewan, grandchildren, Julia (fiancé, Charlie Lambert) Bell, Michelle (Adam) Walton, Kim (Jed) Woods, Brianna (Eric) Curry, and Kenzie (fiancé , Ryan Givin) Ewan, great-grandchildren, Landen and Rylee Woods, Zoey, Luke and Maxwell Walton, Addie and Isaac Curry and Alex Ewan and many nieces and nephews complete his family. 

Family and friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd, Brookside, OH on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 5-8pm with prayer service at 5pm by Fr. John Mucha.  Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 10am at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 630 Main St., Bridgeport 43912 with Fr. John Mucha officiating.  Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bellaire, OH.  The Belmont County Veterans Association will present Full Military Honors on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 9:15am at the funeral home.
