Joseph W. Sansone

Joseph W. Sansone 87, of Lansing died Wednesday August 28, 2019 at Rolling Hills Nursing Center. He was born December 17, 1931 in Wheeling, a son of the late Anthony and Pauline (Mrusek) Sansone.

  Joe was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Martins Ferry Plant with 42 years of service, a US Army Veteran, a member of the Bridgeport Eagles and Post #227 Bridgeport American Legion. Joe was a great softball player, bowler and loved golf.

  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Sansone.

  Joe is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou (Nickerson) Sansone, children: Gary (Debbie) Sansone of Lansing, Diane (David) Glavaris of Brookside, and Michael (Dawn) Sansone of Brunswick, Oh, two sisters Helen Miller of Warwood, and Betty King of Lansing, seven grandchildren Sean Sansone, Michele Malatinsky, Joel Sansone, Joshua and Danielle Glavaris, Amanda and Anthony Sansone, eight great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews.

  Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Friday August 30, 2019 from 2 till time of service at 6 pm. Private interment will held at the convenience of the family. The family would like to give a special thanks to Valley Hospice and the staff at Rolling Hills for their great care and special attention. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice 10686 St. Rt. 150 Rayland, Oh 43943.
