Josephine (Murabito) Walters

Mary Josephine (Murabito) Walters, 86 formerly of Martins Ferry, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, surrounded by her children at Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center, Bridgeport, Ohio.  She was born, Janurary29, 1935 in Martins Ferry the daughter of the late James and Marie (Colosimo) Murabito

Josephine was a devout member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Catholic Women’s Club, Funeral Luncheon Committee and was a Eucharist Minister. 

Josephine was retired Bookkeeper for Valley National Gases, Inc., Wheeling, WV. 

Josephine was preceded in death by her loving husband Larry D. Walters, and daughter Pamela Jo Daugherty brother James Murabito and sister Sarah Leach of Wichita KS.

She is survived by her son, Michael J. (Shelia) Walters of Bridgeport, Oh and daughter Lori (Michael) Kutys of Martins Ferry, Ohio ,4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Sisters Kathi Gump of McMechen, WV, Rosalie Micucci, Follansbee, WV, Lynn (Michael)DeGaperis, Martins Ferry, Ohio.

Friends may call Wednesday, July 7, 2021, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St.., Martins Ferry.  Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Marut as celebrant.  Entombment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
